The service is operated by Atwest (Accessible Transport West Somerset). All vehicles are fully accessible and drivers are trained in passenger care and wheelchair transport.
The service will pick up and drop off anywhere on Exmoor, and can also transport bicycles, wheelchairs, dogs and luggage. Due to popular demand we are now offering a similar service for accessing the Coleridge Way.
Both services operate all year round and run between 8.00am and 8.00pm subject to the availability of a vehicle and driver.
All journeys must be pre-booked at least the day before travel is required. The booking line is open Monday to Friday 9.00am-4.00pm. There is no booking line on Saturdays, Sundays or Bank Holidays.
Arrange your pick-up time and place, and drop-off point, with the scheduler, and also arrange your return journey if needed. We ask that you are in good time to be picked up for an outward journey, and if possible have a mobile phone with you to let the driver know if you will be late at the pick-up point for a return journey. Drivers will normally only wait 10 minutes unless advised otherwise.
The service can be used by individuals or groups of up to 16. It can also be used to transport your luggage while you walk.
Charges are per vehicle, per journey and are calculated on a banding system. For details of the charges please refer to the website at http://www.atwest.org.uk/moorcharges.html. The rates listed only apply within Exmoor National Park and the Coleridge Way. Other journeys can be priced on request. No concessions apply on either service.
