Glen Lyn Gorge
The Glen Lyn Gorge flows down the valley to Lynmouth. It is the steepest of the valley's two gorges, and offers something for everyone to enjoy; from spectacular waterfalls to tranquil pools. The gorge is part of a Site of Special Scientific Interest, and lies in the Exmoor National Park. As well as the attraction of the natural waterfalls and surrounding woodland, there is the opportunity to see water driven engines, an exihibition of the power of water and a hydro-electric generator that supplies the village of Lynmouth with electricity. The gorge is a true example of natural and man-made resources working in harmony. This is an attraction with something to interest everyone.
