This year’s Real Ale Festival, organised jointly by the Somerset Branch of CAMRA (the Campaign for Real Ale) will take place at Minehead Station

Opening hours are 11 to 11 on Saturday and midday to 4 p.m. on the Sunday

This is the 11th Anniversary of the Festival and Somerset CAMRA plan to have number of Anniversary Specials from Somerset Brewers amongst the up to 100 cask conditioned beers on sale over the two days. Also available will be some cider, perry, wine and soft drinks.

For those looking for food Minehead Station is opposite the beach and at one end of the town centre but the Turntable Café at the Station will be open and there will also be a mobile pasty van with the products of “Oggy Oggy” that have proved a major success at other WSR special events this year.

Live entertainment will be available on Saturday night and Sunday lunchtime

As always there will be a souvenir glass, polo or tee-shirt available to mark the Festival.

CAMRA members will be able to obtain discounted return tickets for the round trip between Bishops Lydeard and Minehead either by booking in advance quoting their membership number or on the day by showing their card at the Booking Office.
